Point Central: Temporary Temprature Changes

Many guests and owners who are not accustomed to the extreme heat of the desert will request to have the Air Conditioning settings changed. All temperature changes are temporary and must be reset to 74F after departure. 

Point Central has a limitation setting on the AC command that does not allow it to surpass lower the 74F. This limitation helps our partners save money on their electricity bills and from overpowering the unit. Overworking an air conditioner unit can cause it to freeze up. This can happen when the system is put under excessive demands, such as setting the thermostat to a very low temperature on a hot day. Overworking the AC can reduce pressure in the cooling system, which can lead to freezing.

  • Owners do not nor can they be provided access to control their Point Central remotely because it is an enterprise. If we were to provide them access, they would have access to control all the properties Acme manages. Owners will need to call, text, or email to request a temporary temperature limitation change, they can lower their A/C to their desire. 
  • Guests will often request to have the AC lowered, we can accommodate a temperature change to 72F. For many guests, a two-degree change is not sufficient in this case we may go as low as 70F but not any lower. 
    • Additional fans may be delivered to accommodate guests. 

Step 1: Point Central 

 

 

  • Log in to Hubspot 
  • Search for the property 
  • Click on the thermostat to only view the thermostat devise 
  • Choose Advanced Configurations
  • Scroll down to Cool Set Point, and make changes to the desired temperature. 

 

Step 2: Google Calendar 

PC Test

  • Go to your Google calendar 
  • Select the date of the owner/guest's departure 
  • Schedule an event for 10 am or the extended checkout time. 
  • Event title should be the property number x PC Reset.
  • "Add guests" add ALL property agent team 
  • Save event. 

 

Step 3: Confirmation 

EMAIL PC

Once you have completed the PC temperature reset send a confirming email. 

  • Click on the event in the Google calendar 
  • Select "Email Guests" 
  • Respond Complete.
