You have about 2 - 5 minutes to clear an alarm before they dispatch police. You must take action right away!
- Step 1- Call the alarm company as soon as possible and clear the alarm.
- Step 2- Call the guest & confirm that everything is okay. Give them the alarm code to unarm the home and let them know the alarm panel is not for guest use.
- Step 3- Send the owner a courtesy text message. Let them know it was a false alarm & their property is safe.
- Step 4- property agents will assign the work order to themselves, fill out the information for our records, and close.
Alarm goes off while the home is VACANT.
- Step1- Alarm company will call, DO NOT CLEAR THE CALL! No vendors or staff should be at a vacant home after 8pm. Police should be dispatched by alarm company.
- Step 2- Get clear info from the alarm company. Why is it going off, what doors/windows were open, where did you sense motion? Confirm that police is going to secure the home. We are not security guards so please do not have a staff member or vendor walk the house before police. It is not safe.
- Step 3- Send the owner a courtesy text message or call them. Let them know what's going on.
- Step 4- Create a detailed work order with the information and have a staff member walk & secure the property within business hours.
