NOT READY!!
Starting October 15, we will start to heat pools to 85 degrees. Housekeeping turns on pool heaters 24-48 hours before arrival depending on the pool size & availability. In order to maintain the pool temperature the pump schedule will need to be set to run 18 hours from 6am-12am.
There are some properties that have the pool heater in a underground pit. Those pool heaters need to be turned on by a field technician/runner.
Some pool heaters are remotely controlled from a tablet.
All pool heater fails will be reported by housekeeping or a guest.
Before dispatching a vendor please have a field staff member stop by if available. The field tech will let you know if a vendor is needed.
Always contact the owners preferred vendor. If the pool vendor does not respond to the service request within 30 minutes please dispatch MJP. If they are not available, work off the vendor list.
A pool heater fail is considered a major fail & falls into the 50% off a night refund policy. We need to act quickly and get it resolved as soon as possible or it can result in possible relocation or a large refund.
Always keep owner services informed & have them on standby incase a approval is needed. Remember if a guest is in house or checking in you can approve up to $400. Sometimes parts are needed & it takes some vendors longer than others to get the necessary parts. Outsource as much as possible.
If the guest would like to raise the pool temperature, there is an additional fee of $10 per degree, per day for the remainder of their stay.
