Major sewer backup, related to the previous backups not a new problem, has occurred. Ticket is called "1345 Main St - Sewer Backup Major 3rd strike"
- Major backup is where more than 1 room was affected, or it was caused by failing pipes or roots.
- Roots and deteriorating pipes cannot be effectively fixed by simply clearing them, hydro jetting them, or using root killer chemicals. . We have to date a 100% re occurrence rate with all of these methods.
- We know guests exacerbate the situation by flushing non bodily or TP items, we apologize this is the case, however it is a reality we cannot completely avoid.
- Plumbers often approach residential plumbing issues differently than they might a commercial business, providing advice that may be more suitable for a house vs a business like a hotel or restaurant. Your home is more like a hotel then a home you occupy. When it comes to old failing pipes or roots causing backups, businesses can face significant costs in terms of lost bookings and emergency services. In some cases, these costs can even exceed the expense of replacing the sewage lines entirely. That's why it's important to approach these situations from a business perspective and consider long-term solutions.
- While relining pipes can be a viable option for cracked or bellied pipes that cause debris buildup, it becomes more complicated when dealing with root intrusion. If you have no plans to sell your property, it may be more beneficial to replace the pipes rather than rely on relining. Even if relining proves effective initially, the problem could resurface after a year or two.
