What to do when a property smells like smoke
ACMEs policy is to have the home smelling fresh and clean each time we have a guest arrival, with this in mind we should always ensure during inspections that we pay close attention to any smells that linger within the home..
Please report right away to owner/guest services so prior guest can be charged.
We have several options when cleaning the home to combat this;
1) Wash/swap out all the linens and towels in all bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen )Pools towels as well if stored inside the home)
2) Have Property Operations Wash all filters from HVAC
3) Deep clean the home (Baking Soda can be a big help in absorbing odors)
4) Install Ozone machine for 24 hours, keep the home sealed up and return and do another walk through
5) If the these have all failed to remove the smell, please contact Property Operations/Owner Services Office, we will have to notify the owner and we will arrange and inspection from a restoration company
